Melissa Torres, DDS
Dr. Melissa J. Torres received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Cum Laude, from Salem State University. She continued her studies at Howard University College of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, placing 2nd in her class. Her academic achievement earned her induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society, as well as The Dr. H. Norton Duhaney Award in Fixed Prosthodontics, the Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement in the Study of Prosthodontics and the Department of Restorative Dentistry Award.
She completed her post graduate residency through the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, she received advanced training in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, periodontal surgery, oral surgery, endodontics, removable prosthodontics and the restoration of implants.
She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. Dr. Torres values the importance of continuing education. She continues to expand her clinical and didactic knowledge to be able to provide the best possible care to her patients.
Dr. Torres currently resides in Salem, MA with her fiancé. During her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, and exploring new restaurants. She absolutely loves dogs and hopes to welcome a Corgi to her family next year!
